Tukutuku Rākau

Tukutuku rākau - a work with many layers that slowly emerged over time, it speaks about the many stories of our rākau Māori embedded in our lives and landscapes.

Artwork size including frame: 213mm x 213mm

Materials: Whataupoko whenua, harakeke on harakeke paper. Frame is untreated pine  stained with native. (a deliberate act of reclamation of whenua and honouring rākau Māori)
