He Rau Harakeke Tuarua
I’ve been growing the harakeke in our garden for 12 years and one of the things I love to do is capture the leaves overlapping each other and the many colours that can be seen when the light reflects off them. I often sit and just watch the leaves dancing, so simple and beautiful.
Materials: Harakeke, taupata, raurekau, koromiko on harakeke paper. The untreated pine frame stained with native. (a deliberate act of reclamation of whenua and honouring rākau Māori)
3 x small works are all SOLD. Large work is still available.
